“ ThePromise” is a beautiful rendition of the Lord's Prayer

in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus.

A wonderful quote from one of the nuns, after a live performance of this work in Michigan: 

"I have prayed the Lord's Prayer my entire life. 

This is the first time I have felt it as a Love Song!"

   This is such inspired work, it unfolded almost like a dream, the creative process flowing freely as we offered ourselves fully to the project.  The project?  Most of the pieces were present, of course - the Love, the history, the power of using the language of Jesus.  Many of the translations we used have come from different perceptions scholars have had about what the prayer means.  We were moved to add our own heartfelt meanings, spiritual verve, presence of Self, and a goodly amount of intention.  Speaking the words for the first time again was a journey into wholeness.
